Course requirements

Applicants must meet ICTQual AB entry requirements for age, academic background, and language capability. Relevant prior exposure to civil engineering is helpful, though not mandatory.

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification plus 1 year of experience, or a Level 4 qualification in a related field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or a science-based discipline

  • Minimum age of 16 years, proficiency in English, and ideally some prior exposure to civil engineering projects, construction work, or engineering technologies

Assessments

This qualification is competence-based and assessed against unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Assessment is carried out by qualified assessors, quality assured internally by centres, and externally verified by ICTQual AB.

  • Continuous internal assessment conducted by experienced and qualified assessors

  • Portfolio of evidence covering all learning outcomes and assessment criteria

  • Evidence may include assignments, projects, reports, observation reports, professional discussions, witness testimonies, worksheets, and oral or written questioning records

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be used where applicable, with external quality assurance conducted by ICTQual AB
