Course requirements

Applicants are expected to meet the awarding body’s typical entry requirements to ensure they can safely participate in practical training and complete the course successfully.

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Level 3 First Aid certification or an equivalent qualification

  • Participants should be in good health, physically able to perform CPR and AED practice, and have basic literacy, numeracy, and English language skills

Assessments

Assessment is mandatory and is conducted through Approved Training Centres using practical and knowledge-based methods to confirm learners can apply emergency care principles and techniques effectively.
